The Wonder Tower

I was part of the team that helped Children’s Hospital Foundation raise funds for Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU’s new pediatric facility, a building the size of a city block. From the hospital’s naming to donor outreach, events, activations, and mass-media awareness, the campaign ultimately drove an eight-figure surge in support.

Proof I can write long form copy

The hospital was a massive undertaking that required major donors. The brochure I wrote played a key role in helping secure it, breaking down the why, how, and overall vision behind the project. I recommend reading it in full screen.

Proof I can rhyme

To defend childhood, you have to see the world through a child’s eyes. I wrote a hardcover children’s book that walked readers through the hospital experience from a kid’s perspective. Published in English and Spanish, it was gifted to donors and patients. I recommend reading it in full screen.

Hard Hat Direct Mail

We partnered with local Richmond artist, Mickael Broth (The Night Owl), to create 150 custom, hand-painted hard hats. These were sent to a select group of potential donors with a letter asking for their support.

Pop-up Card Direct Mail

We also surprised prospective donors with custom laser-cut pop-up cards that feature the new building.

Landing Page

To visually illustrate our fundraising progress on their site, we created a landing page where the image of the building gets colored in as donation goals are met.
